The installation of hundreds of white tiny bulbs dangling with light tubes around started the show as a greeting for guests as they arrived at the show of Alexander McQueen’ new collection. Sarah Burton opened the show with a couple of elaborate coat dresses in wools, framed by special fur capes with beautiful sculptural silver belts. Models wore back platinum blonde wigs and silver visors which covered half of their faces making them unrecognizable, and furry knee-high boots without heels.PHOTOGALLERY
The colors of this collection, palest pink silk, white lace or black ponyskin and fur coats looked very unusual and strange due to the mix of fur and feathers in pale grey, palest pink and black. Fuchsia combined with flower sequins and feathers left a mesmerising effect on the public.

A series of flower dresses finished the show. As a proof of the designer’s talent and crestivity, this incredible structures of pink, grey and lilac were constructed from a vast millefeuille of organza and were followed by the long round of applause.
